June is nearly upon us...Sorry, I've been away from my blog for so long, there's been a few hicoughs with my career, due to the effects of the economic climate and Government funding cuts, there's been very little chance to craft, as I've been searching for work to start after my current contract finishes (just 7 weeks). Anyway, here's a couple of very quick, bright and cheery cards...to help lift the mood a little, instructions below.
On 6th June I'm going to be taking part in the In Love with Stamping Blog Hop for the 11 new products. I'm at the start of Round 2, we've got 3 rounds of 15, yes that's at least 45 projects to inspire you using the Cottage Wall papers and window sheets, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Soft Suade ink, card and dotty ribbon. My project is a scrapbook page.
The Hop will kick off at 10am.
On the 9th June I will be posting every day for 12 days, 12 inspirational projects using the Sweet Treat Cups from the Mini Catalogue
Instructions
Cut an A4 sheet of Apricot Appeal in two, fold each in half to create two A6 base cards.
Cut two pieces of Pumpkin Pie dotty paper from the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper (limited edition), slightly smaller than the card to leave a border of apricot.
Card 1: stamp the dotted heart from I {Heart} Hearts (mini catalogue page 7) in Elegant Eggplant directly on to the paper. Stamp and cut out the friend heart, leaving a white boarder to highlight, stick to centre of dotted heart on a Stampin' Dimensional, or two. Cut and stick down Elegant Eggplant ribbon, Tombow glue works really well as it's a wet and sticky glue and there's a very fine nozzle.
Card 2: Stamp and punch out the triple hearts from in Elegant Eggplant. Use the Heart to Heart punch for speed. Line up the hearts and attach. Attach Elegant Eggplant Ribbon to finish. For variation attach one of the hearts with a Stampin' Dimensional.
Do all the stamping at once to save time, like a production line.
